I recently did a webcast with Jim Love from ITWC and Ryan Gariepy from OTTO Motors. It was titled “Fueling the Future of Industry with Self Driving Technology” and we discussed a couple of topics such as how companies are struggling to be more productive and profitable and how to push ahead of competition. There is also the important fact that we are all being asked to do more with fewer resources. Data analytics allows us to be successful in the growing markets.

Ryan talked about how OTTO Motors is searching to automate the world’s dullest, dirtiest, and deadliest jobs. They are looking at things they can have an impact right now with industrial warehousing and manufacturing environments. It is key to productivity to companies and of the country. There is no need to worry about rain and snow and external factors. They started their autonomous innovation two years ago and they have been expanding through data and analytics.

How the technology is used is also incredibly important. How customers are using the products is allowing OTTO Motors to change and continue the product line and to make sure they are building the “right things”.

OTTO focused on their advantages and impact of technology of robots in the industry and benefits once you bring robots into an environment. Managing the data is complicated but customers want to digitally transform but don’t want to build sensor networks.

Feel free to replay the webcast to find out about OTTO Motors and how they have brought self-driving technology to the dullest, dirtiest, and deadliest jobs
