Geek, engineering leader, technology evangelist and business strategist, Cory Minton, is focused on finding creative ways for organizations to drive the utmost value from their data, while transforming IT’s relevance to the organizations and customers they serve.
With a diverse background in IT applications, consulting, data center infrastructure, and the expanding Data Fabric ecosystem, Cory brings an interesting perspective to the clients he serves while consistently challenging them to think bigger. As a Principal Systems Engineer at Dell EMC, it is his responsibility to work hand in hand with clients across the globe to assess and develop Big Data strategies, architect technology solutions, and insure successful deployments of these transformational initiatives.
In addition to working with Dell EMC customers in the field, Cory also leads Dell EMC’s Ready Solutions for Data Analytics. The goal of this initiative is to simplify the ways customers consume Dell EMC technologies for Big Data, IoT, and Analytics use cases through intense validation processes that deliver consistent results. Cory also has the pleasure of building and leading specialized champions communities that provide customers with subject-matter expertise around Splunk and Hadoop, insuring Dell EMC is well aligned to architectural best practices with these emerging applications and frameworks.
Active in social media, industry speaking engagements, and content creation, Cory is a 3 term member of Dell EMC Elect; an organization of elite brand ambassadors with an established and respected voice in the digital world.
Cory received his Undergraduate Degree in Engineering from Texas A&M University, a Masters of Business Administration from Tennessee Tech University, and has completed Executive Education Certificate Programs at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Cory currently resides in Birmingham, Alabama with his beautiful wife and two awesome children.
